Spotlight: Eco-Fashion Luis Valenzuela

September 30, 2010

The first two photos are from The Greenshow during NY Fashion Week. The other two are from Luis Valenzuela’s older collections. I wanted to showcase this eco fashion because I think it is truly inspiring how someone can take something as simple as a used lampshade or world map and turn it into something as wearable as these dresses.

Eco-fashion is important as I feel as being an American and living in LA that we throw way too much away.  Valenzuela has found a way to take our garbage that we throw out and create long billowy dresses with tight bustier and more color and know how than some designers will show in 10 years.
